The Midwest Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates believe that nursing and allied personnel are an integral part of the health care system, providing a special service to gastroenterology patients.  We recognize that in order to provide the highest quality of care to patients within the specialty area of gastroenterology and endoscopy, continued education and updating of skills are mandatory, and these learning opportunities must be available to all members of the health care team. 

We believe in excellence through unity and education and subscribe to the purpose as stated by our parent organization, the National Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc., which is as follows: to unite in one organization persons engaged in full or part time gastroenterology and endoscopy procedures; to encourage and develop educational programs for persons in such fields; to advance the technology, science and arts of practitioners in such fields; and to cooperate with other professional societies, corporations and governmental bodies involved in such fields.
